Reading:
Students are asked to read 20 minutes each night and record both the title of their book and the number of minutes they read in their Assignment Notebook. There is a section titled "Weekly Reading Log" for this information. In addition, each week they will alternate between 2 activities in their GREEN Literacy Journals: One week reading a passage and answering comprehension questions, and the next week writing me a friendly letter about a book they are reading at home. On nights that your son or daughter completes a Lit. Log assignment, he/she does NOT have to read for 20 mins. Simply write "Lit. Log" in place of the book title. The same goes for nights that he/she works on Spelling homework.
